Author Guidelines

Authors must carefully consider and adhere to the following guidelines when preparing their submissions:

  • All manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal must be written in English.
  • Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or under review by another journal simultaneously.
  • Articles should be submitted as .doc/.docx for MS Word files and/or .tex for LaTeX files. However, all submissions must follow the template provided in the journal format.
  • All submissions must be prepared using the Journal’s Template. Manuscripts that do not follow the Journal’s Template will be returned to the author(s).
  • Submissions should only be made through the journal’s Online Article Submission system.
  • All submitted manuscripts must adhere to the 7th edition of the American Psychological Association (APA) Publication Manual for both in-text citations and reference lists (APA 7).
  • A “similarity report” document is required at the time of submission (with a maximum similarity index of 20%).
  • The journal adopts a “double-blind peer review” policy for the evaluation of submitted manuscripts. Thus, each submission will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers before publication.
  • Editors are committed to upholding the protection of human and animal rights in submitted manuscripts. They prioritize the documentation of informed consent from participants and will reject articles that lack ethical approval for studies involving human or animal subjects.
  • Authors must upload evidence of ethical approval for studies that involve data collection through quantitative or qualitative methods such as experiments, surveys, scales, interviews, observations, or focus group discussions. Additionally, case studies must include information about obtaining informed consent from participants.
  • The responsibility for the grammar and language of the articles in the article belongs to the authors. Our journal, editors or reviewers do not provide any paid services. If there is a need for language correction and proofreading, the author can have them done by independent organizations and individuals. Our journal has no responsibility for that process.
Submissions to "Sport Economics Research (SER)" should be prepared using the provided "Article Templates". It is essential that no changes are made to the template, and all writing should be done directly within it. Page Layout: A4, Portrait, Margins (Custom) (All sides: 1.5 cm)
Sport Economics Research (SER) does not impose a limit on the number of pages or word count for articles. However, the editorial board or the scientific committee may suggest shortening the content if it can be done without compromising its quality. The line spacing for the entire manuscript should be set to 1.15.

Each manuscript should be structured under the following main headings:

Title: The title of the study should clearly and comprehensively reflect its content. All major words should be capitalized, excluding conjunctions.
